~ Early Autograph Book ~

We are always searching for the unusual and hard to find ...and these autograph books seem to fall in both of those categories ..

We happened upon this one ...at one of our favorite haunts ...and couldn't resist it's beauty and allure.

We were very suprised to find that this Autographo book was never used ..Yes never used ...

It is quite the beauty we think ...Made from a Beautiful velvet ..that once was red but now faded to a beautiful light nutmeg ...It has 3 beautiful Stamped tin embellishments on the front and a lovely pressed Snowflake design right in the velvet at the corner of the book.

Upon opening the book you will find a highly decorated page that reads Autographs ...following this page are many blank pages But some of them have Quite Exquisite Color Floral Lithos Decorating a page.

From Lovely Roses to Red Geranium ..there are a variety of flowers hidden throughout the pages ...

The book is in excellent condition and measures: 8in. L x 5in. W

Perfect for The Vintage Bride of Today ..allow her wedding party to sign the book and even add a few momento pictures. Or ..Perfect for the Expectant Mother ..Baby Shower signatures ..and momentos as well ...

~ Early Ladies Crochet Lace Purse ~

It's hard to believe some of these early finds have made it through time in such Beautiful condition ..We were amazed to find this wonderful early Ladies Crochet lace purse in such Lovely condition.

We Love to reminisce days gone by ...don't you ? When ladies were ladies ..they wore dresses, had nice accessories if they could afford it ..and were sure to look there very best upon leaving the home. How times have changed.

Well this sweet early purse was obviously an accesory that was quite nice ...when we look upon it ..it's hard to believe a lady of years by gone ...wore this upon her arm ..It's part of touching the past today ...

The purse is made of a beautiful crochet lace ..it's design is just breathtaking ...and on each side in the center it has a gorgeous ..layered flower design. From the flower hang two embellishments ...these embellishments are also found along the bottom of the purse and at the ends of the drawstring cords.

The original liner is still in place and in wonderful working condition ...

The Purse is in overall good condition with noram wear throughout ...as it is an antique ...

It measures: 13in. L x 7in. W

This piece would look exceptional ..hung from an early peg rack or cast Iron Hook ..In the Sleeping Quarters ..along with an early bodice or skirt and a pair of early shoes or high button boots.

They are positively scrumptious !!! Made from a Vintage Damask tablecloth that has a gorgeous floral design throughout it..and can be seen when the light catches it just right ..this pillow is just stunning.

On the Front you'll find a Beautiful Print of 2 young women ..dressed in early corsets ..surrounded by tumbling roses.

Please take note that our vintage ephemera desings are printed directly to the fabric ..they are not iron-ons ..so they don't have that vinyl feel and look ..these have a wonderful early and old fashioned Quality appeal.

We stuffed the pillow with light, soft Feather down....making this pillow just divine.

It's pure perfection ..for sitting on your favorite little shelf or cupboard ..dancing beautifully with a grouping of pillows on your bed ..or simply adorning your nightstand nestled beside your favorite stack of antique books.

A Sweet Magnolias Farm One of a Kind Design.

Here at Sweet Magnolias farm ..we love to Romance the Farmhouse. That's why we Created our Farmhouse Romance Line. Made with Antique and Vintage Finds including Early Antique lace trims, Buttons, and baubles ...

Our newest offering is our Farmhouse Romance Stocking.... Made From an Authentic "Bear Brand" Antique Stocking that we aquired on one of our antiquing trips ...we embellished the top with A Beautiful piece of Lace topped with a cocoa brown velvet ric rac trim and a vintage brwon button that has a beautiful design to it. We then trimmed the Long Stocking ..in a very early and fine antique lace trim ..embellished with 5 vintage creamy white buttons. Last of all we trimmed the toe in a sweet Antique decorative lace piece and topped it off with an old button as well for that perfect finishing touch.

This Stocking can be Beautifully Displayed.. ..hung on an old wood peg rack in a bedroom or bathroom. Some Drieds , Greenery and Twig Sprigs ..look lovely spraying out and over the top of the stocking ..Or just a grouping of dried twigs sprayed in a creamy white spraying out the top as an all year look ..would be simply stunning !

This stocking is one of the Nice old Long ones and measures: 32 inches long ... It has been lightly stuffed with tissue paper to plump it ever so slightly ...and it has a cotton rope hanger.

Our last picture shows 2 stockings as we offering 2 of them but each one in a seperate listing. We have included the picture so you can see the 2 hung together.

P.S. ..the Beeswax Pepperberries spraying out the top are not included ..however they can be purchased in the "Back Porch" Section of our site.

~ Farmhouse Romance Stocking ~

A Sweet Magnolias Farm One of a Kind Design.

Our newest offering is our Farmhouse Romance Stocking.... Made From an Authentic "Bear Brand" Antique Stocking that we aquired on one of our antiquing trips and dates to the early 1900's ...we embellished the top with 3 layers of Early Antique Lace topped with a Charming old cotton trim flower and a vintage brown wood flower button that has a beautiful design to it. We then trimmed the Long Stocking ..in a fun vintage find ..of cotton snap trim. Last of all we trimmed the toe with an adorable old button.

What makes these stockings so wonderful ..is they can be used for display ..during the Christmas season ..and then throughout the year ..hung on an old wood peg rack in a bedroom or bathroom. Some Drieds , Greenery and Twig Sprigs ..look lovely spraying out and over the top of the stocking ..Or just a grouping of dried twigs sprayed in a creamy white spraying out the top as an all year look ..would be simply stunning !

Early Works

Key to My Heart

Ditty Bag

Never enough ditty bags ..is a saying we have here at the farmhouse ...because it seems there's always the perfect spot to tuck or hang one...rather it's snug on a shelf with an old pair of baby shoes or a stack of old books ...or hung from the peg rack or an old cupboard door...

This Ditty is extra special ..it's been made from an early antique wool crazy quilt ...

The Quilt Front ..we have embellished with a rag padded ticking heart ..with an old rusty key that hangs by a piece of vintage lace right in the center of it.

Above the Heart ..an aged banner has been stamped with the sentiment "Key To My Heart" and embellished with 2 black snaps at each end.

To the side of the heart ..2 sweet oval fabric photo prints of 2 sweet antique children have been set into some vintage ball chain frames ...a perfect old fashioned touch !

The Bottom of the Ditty ...is Beautifully dressed in Authentic Antique Wide Lade Trim ..that has homespun old seam binding and aged cotton binding weaved thought the top.

Lastly the top of the bag ..draws shut with an aged ticking tie ...and The back of the bag is made from aged and felted wool.

This ditty is in Beautiful shades of Dark blues, blacks, greys, and brown aging.

It measures a Generous: 17 inches long x 11 inches wide

P.S. The drieds and Pepperberries spraying out the top of the ditty are not included ...however the pepperberries can be purchased in the Back Porch section of the shop.

~ Vintage Handstitched Spring Flowers Purse ~

Here at the farmhouse we are always unearthing vintage finds from our collections ..and just recently while searching through some of our vintage linens we came upon this sweet piece of yesteryear and no less just in time for Spring !!!

This Purse is completely handfashioned ...and Handstitched ..the timeless hours that were spent in creating this by a kindred spirti of long ago were sweetly and wonderfully spent and we are so glad this piece has stood the test of time.

This purse is Made from a very fine polished black cotton and lined with a faded pink cotton .. The Front is beautifully stichet in Pinks, Purples, Blues, Golds, and Creams ..a most perfect combination.

The top of the purse and handles have been decoratively stitched as well ..

The purse handle is fashioned just so ..that when you wear it upon your arm ..all the stitching faces out so it can be admired by others.

A Wonderful Addition for the Garden Room ..or Bedroom ..

~ Ladies Antique High Top Lace Boots ~

Well are these Eary Ladies Boots just not Perfectly Splendid !

This pair of boots are a true little treasure of yesteryear ..a simpler time with hard living ....A time when looking your best was important and a time when a pair of shoes were treasured.

Upon finding this pair of boots we were thrilled to pieces as they are a bit different than the styles we more commonly find ..which is a more pointed toe and a plainer outer.

This pair however has a wonderful round toe ..and a decorative pin dot design crossing the toe as well as encircling the foot.

These boots are made of a soft pliable leather and are in bloack.

The have a canvas inner with a faded and distressed red silk liner at the top of the calve inside.

The original black cotton laces are still laced within them .. The right boot lace has split about half way up ..all the more charm we say here at the farmhouse.

The boots do show wonderful authentic wear throughout ..making them ever so charming ..

Touching these boots is like touching the hand that wore them ..you wonder what she was like ..who she was ..and what her lot in life was ..She put a great many miles on these boots as you can see by the soles.

These are a wonderful Display for the Home ...

They Measure .. 11.5 inches tall x 10 inches in length
