Don't ya just love old School Primers !!! We sure do and we are always on the lookout for them.
We were excited to find this one ..From the Graphics on the front cover to the fact it's Dated 1876 ...making this primer 133yrs old
The Primer hardback cover is in a light sage green with dark green binding.
The front cover ..well we can't say much More Than Positively wonderful !! The pictures Tell the story there.
The book is 178 pages long ...and so far as we can tell ..they are all intact.
Now of course the book is without a doubt timeworn...If we were that old we would be a bit timeworn too... However considering it's age it is in amazing condition.
We've included several pictures for your pleasure ... Enjoy !!!
These old Primers look just stunning added in to a grouping with an early slate board ..and even a teachers school bell ..Possibly you have more primers ..they look fabulous stacked in an old country Cupboard to !!!

This wonderful old bell ..is a charmer ...from it's turned wood black handle to it's metal bell base ..
It still retains it's weight that hangs inside and when rung ..makes a most beautiful sound to the ear.
This Old Bell is full of what we like to call Rustic Charm ...And would look stunning in an Early display !

On our recent trip back east ..we found this wonderful early primer covered in Authentic Blue Check Homespun.
These have become increasingly harder to find throughout the years ...as those of us who collect them ..tend to hang on to them...however ..we wanted to make this one available to our Farmhouse Gals.
This Sweet little book shows wonderful wear inside and out ..making it ever so charming ! It has 1 torn page.
This book is titled "The Progressive Speller" a complete spelling book. And is dated 1897 making it 103 years old.
We have provided numerous pictures for your pleasure ..that way you can get the complete look and feel of this early find.

This wonderful early "Teacher's Edition" Primer is an unusual early find.
The "Preface" inside the book reads: This key contains solutions to all the problems, oral and written ...
Each page has references to problems on certain pages in the students books showing the problems and the solutions.
We have collected early primers for many years now and we have only found teachers editions a few times.
The Hardback front cover in and of itself is a Beautiful work of art. They surely knew how to make books stunning.
The book is 131 pages ..the edges of the pages have a marbled appearance . The binding is in a lovely deep red.
The book measures: 7.5 inches long x 5 inches wide x 1/2 inch thick. It is in Beautiful condition considering it's age ..and being a teachers edition I'm sure it was better cared for.
