Kirk's Flake White Laundry Soap
For Years now Abb and I have Collected vintage Laundry Advertising ..It's a fun collection to start ..you would not believe how many different Laundry items you can find ..and the Graphics on them are just wonderful not like todays boring commercial items.
Well this little sweetie ..Is an unopened Laundry Bar Soap ..that dates to the Early 1900's.
The graphics are Red and black printing on a white waxed wrapper ..with red polk-a-dots
decorating the ends. On the front at the top is the Kirk's Flake Logo ..a little house with a split rail fence and snow falling.
The wrapper on this piece is in amazing condition considering it's age ..of course it shows some wear throughout which is to expected ..and really lends to it's authenticity.
The Bar measures:
4 inches long x 3 inches Wide x 1.25 inches Thick
This is a Nice addition for the Laundry or even Bathroom ..and looks stunning stacked with other vintage bar soaps and detergents and Laundry items.

Early Crystal Washboard
This early little washboard ..is ever so sweet and a quaint heirloom find.
The Laundry room has always been a place of womans work ...and a place that most women find to be quite drudgery ..so why not cheer that spot up with some of your favorite things ..and make your time spent there more enjoyable ..surrounded by your farmhouse favorites.
This old washboard is a tiny one ...and would have been used back the day for lingerie ..althought I'm sure more than one little girl adopted this as her own play toy. As it is a Perfect childs size piece.
The washboard is made of clear ribbed glass ..giving a smoothness to the board that woul have been easy on those delicates that needed washing.
Embossed on one side in the glass is the word "CRYSTAL" Which I believe would have been from the Crystal White Soap of the early 1900's. I imagine this could very well have been a free giveaway ..which was quite common in those days.

Antique Fels Naptha Laundry Soap

Fels Naptha Soap Grater
I'm sure many of you remember Fels Naptha ..from years ago ..it was around for generations and I believe it can still be found in many grocery stores today.
Here we are offering an authentic Vintage Bar of Fels Naptha ..in it's original and famous Red and Green Graphics Paper wrapper.
This Bar Soap Has Never been used or out of it's wrapper ..and is in Stunning condition for it's age. It shows a bit of wear which is to be expected for these old pieces ..But it's minimale and lends to it's overall yesteryear charm.
Also included with this Bar Soap is the Authentic Fels Naptha Soap Grater ..Just like we grate cheese at one point in time soap was grated the same way ..rather for the wash or to do some dishes .
This Set ..Looks just spectacular displayed in the Laundry ..Bath or Kitchen ..

Vintage Little Duchess
Laundry Bluing
O.k. isn't this the cutest piece !!! I have only found this particular box one other time ...so when I came across it for a second time ..I knew it was a must have piece ! Are the Graphics not just charming and adorable on this !!
This Charming Bluing Box is unopened and still retains it's bluing inside. It is in Beautiful condition considering it's age with minor wear ..which lends to it's authenticity.
On the Front of the box ..I just love the graphics..in Pink Blue and White. The Front shows a maiden carrying a yoke across her shoulder with two buckets hanging from it on each side ..while a clothesline blows in the wind behind her.
The Box measures:

The Box has never been opened ..still retains it's contents and is in amazing condition ..

Kingsford Silver Gloss Starch Box
This early Kingsford Starch box ..is positively stunning and a quaint heirloom find.
The Laundry room has always been a place of womans work ...and a place that most women find to be drudgery ..so why not cheer that spot up with some of your favorite things ..and make your time spent there more enjoyable ..surrounded by your farmhouse favorites.
This old starch box is exceptional and I would gather dates to the late 1800's early 1900's ..amazingly although it was opened on one corner ..it still retains 3/4 of the starch inside the box...making it a wonderful find.
The box is loaded with brilliant graphics in Red, Golden Rod yellow, black ..and now aged white graphics.
On the front one section reads Directions for Use ..and tells how much starch to add to how much water and to cook it to prepare for your washing.
This box is a very rare find and perfection for the Antique Laundry Room !

Patriotic Clothespin Keep
Another Sweet Magnolias Farm exclusive Custom One of a Kind Design.
This Wonderful Early Patriotic Clothespin Keep is just perfect for the Prim lovers laundry room or even bathroom.
We have made this old fashioned keep from Authentic early bunting.....that we have lightly aged to perfection. A heavy weave cotton pocket has been handstitched to the front and trimmed with a vintage lace trim that has red, white and blue satin seam binding weaved through it and tied into a festive bow and topped with an antique button..adding that lovely old charm to this keep.
The pocket is packed full of 1 dozen early round head clothespins ..full of authentic age.
Above the clothespin pocket ..we added an early Photo of two children Dressed in patriotic costumes and standing in front of a large flag. We made a print of it on fabric and added the wording .."All American Laundry"
At the bottom of the Clothespin Keep ..is a piece Wide Lace Trim from our personal collection. It really adds a great element to this keep ..and a bit of that Romantic Farmhouse Softness ..we love to see in our designs.
To Hang the keep you will find two ..old cotton clothesline ears at the top ..Just Hammer in two of your old Square Nails ..and hang for a wonderful Antique and Prim Style !!! (Don't have any square head nails ? Just ask and for an additional $1.00 we'll include a set for you)

This Wonderful Early Clothespin Keep is just perfect for the Farmhouse laundry room or even bathroom.
We have made this old fashioned keep from a wonderful red and cream homepun plaid lightly aged to perfection ..An old fashioned burlap pocket has been topped with an antique wonderfully aged doily and an old red button held on by aged brass brads...adding that lovely old charm to this keep.
The pocket is packed full of 1 dozen early round and square head clothespins ..Beautifully aged.
Above the clothespin pocket ..we added an early ephemera fabric print of an old buggy being driven by a man and pulled by two mules. We then added in our own creative advertising which reads:

Early Works Laundry Basket Gathering
Here at the farmhouse ..we love a dressed up Laundry Room ...One that's enjoyable to be in and has a little bit of our loving touch on it.
This Early Works Laundry Basket Gathering is just pure farmhouse comfort ..
The Wonderful Old Style Laundry basket we have Painted with layers of creamy white and moss green paint ...It has that lovely old fashioned style.
To the basket we handfashioned a liner ..made from a red and cream plaid heavy weight cotton and trimmed in old fashioned crochet lace trim.
To the front of the basket ..we created a little clothespin bag that hangs ...from a waverly floral that compliments the red plaid liner beautifully. To the front of the clothespin bag ..we attatched an early ephemera ad from " West Side Laundry " which we reproduced on fabric. Inside the bag are 1 dozen early clothespins ..some round head and others a wonderful and unique square style.
Inside the basket you'll find a wonderful array of authentic and classic Laundry room finds .
First is the Antique Little Darling washboard ....A sweet and Authentic early utilitarian piece that is just the perfect size for this little gathering.
Second ..an Authentic brown glass Clorox bottle ..which we have added a Romantic tan and cream check fabric label surround layered with a piece of crochet lace trim and a red check cotton tie. At the bottles neck ..a gorgeous aged hang tag with the word BLEACH stamped on hangs ..and an old aged cork is seated in the top.
Third ..in this early gathering is an old fashioned whisk broom ..tied with a sage green plad homespun bow tie ...and an old antique key attatched to the front ...
Fourth ...an authentic piece of old lye soap ...dressed in a jute tie ..is pure old fashioned style.
Lastly ...an old vintage Cotton Towel ..is draped in the basket and flowing over the side of the basket ...
This Gathering would also look spectacular in a bathroom ...
P.S. we did not put the fabric on this piece through an aging process ..however if you prefer a more aged style ..let us know and we will be glad to age it up for you.

Antique Joplin Laundry Bag

Here at the farmhouse we are always on the search for new finds to offer our Kindred Friends and this week we have some wonderful offerings I must say .. One of which is this Early Red Work Laundry Bag. I would gather this early piece dates possibly to the late 1800's or early 1900's.
This Laundry bag is from the Joplin Laundry service. It is in a very Heavy cotton with Red stitching on the front that reads: " Joplin Laundry "
The laundry bag has a heavy rope drawstring at the top for closing in the dirty clothes.
This Fabulouse piece of Laundry History ..is in Beautiful conditiong for it's age with just the right amount of original wear making it perfection for those who love to display early pieces in their laundry room or even bath room. We have left it in the original state we found it in ...

Vintage Unopened Laundry Bluing Box
If you collect and display early laundry advertisting pieces in your laundry room ..and don't have this charming piece of yesteryear ..it's a must have ...or at least we think so.
This came from a recent trip of ours ...when we slipped away to a few of our favorite haunts ..and we didn't hesitate to pick it up ..as these old bluing boxes are so hard to find ..let alone in unused condition.
This American Ball Blue box ..is in Red white and blue graphics ..with the eagle sprawling int he center.
On the back of the box are directions for use ..and at the bottom the dates the package was trademarked ..which was November 29, 1889
This Box is in Excellent condition and measures a mere: 2.75 inches long x 1.75 inches wide x 1/2 inch thick.
